From the Desk of Dara: Beauty Favorites This Week

It’s hard to cut through the noise and the massive amount of new products saturating the market with their bold claims. I figured, let me do the work for you, I’m up to task of sharing what’s worth it and my favorites for you all to discover. Below you’ll find my seven product obsessions of the week, all of these have stood out and proved themselves worthy of a permanent place on my vanity. From the body serum that transforms skin to the eyeshadow palette small enough to slip into your travel makeup pouch but strong enough to take you from morning to midnight to the in-shower scrub that makes skincare feel like a ritualistic treat.

Consider this your curated edit of what truly deserves attention.

Ursa Major Golden Hour Body Serum
A body serum serum that feels like skincare and self-care at once. I have dry skin so my body care items go towards the rich and oily types, I love body butter but it is hard to get dressed after using that or even getting into your sheets can feel a bit ick. I was thrilled to find this, it performs with the same richness but absorbs quickly and is intensely hydrating.  It is packed with sea buckthorn, calendula, and chamomile that calm and restore the skin barrier while adding a natural glow. The texture is light, almost like a lotion-serum hybrid, which makes it layer seamlessly under other products but it's rich enough to actually work.

Natasha Denona Mini Dream Palette
The perfect travel companion. I can not live without this palette, when traveling and at home. Five shades that cover everything from a soft wash of color to a full smoky eye. Every time someone asks about what eyeshadow I am wearing, it is this. The neutrals have warmth, the shimmer has dimension, and the pigment lasts through late nights without creasing. It is rare to find a palette this compact that does not sacrifice quality and versatility.

Flamingo Estate Damask Rose & Bergamot Body Oil
This is skincare disguised as fragrance, not that it doesn't work, but the smell is so insanely delicious that what I think about when using it. Cold-pressed oils sink into the skin immediately, leaving it supple without a film, while the scent lingers like a luxury perfume. Damask rose keeps it soft and romantic while bergamot adds brightness and clarity. It just simply makes me so happy when using, the smell is completely intoxicating.

Wonder Valley Olive & Lotus Exfoliant
Polish in a tin jar. Finely milled bamboo and olive powder gently buff while olive oil and lotus leaf replenish the skin. The result is not just smoothness but radiance, the kind that makes makeup glide on better the next day. It feels like a professional treatment but with the ease of a two-minute at-home step. I am a huge fan of the Wonder Valley Oil Cleanser and swear by it, its on constant reorder, and adding this to the oil is literally like a microdermabrasion at home. Try it if you love a good scrubbing!

Soft Services Green Banana Buffing Bar
This is body care in the shower reimagined. A moderate-to-intense physical exfoliating brick for deep, targeted buffing on the body. Formulated for persistent and stubborn texture concerns such as rough patches, bumps, KP, ingrown hair. Also a handy tool for self-tan prep/removal. Fragranced to smell of the lush, verdant sweetness released when cracking open a not-quite-ripe banana fruit. It is mess-free, shower-friendly, and leaves behind skin that feels brand new. OBSESSED.

InnBeauty Project Gel Recharge Moisturizer
The skincare equivalent of a tall glass of water. The gel-cream texture sinks in quickly, leaving skin plump and bouncy without stickiness. I also happen to know Jen, the co-founder and formulator, and she is the best at what she does. InnBeauty’s Gel Recharge Moisturizer is honestly the most high-performance gel cream I’ve ever tried. It goes beyond the basics with patented barrier repair technology and powerful hydrators that instantly flood my skin with moisture. The waterburst texture feels weightless yet leaves my skin juicy, plump, and radiant. I highly recommend this for all skin types.

Mary Phillips Underpainting Palette
Mary Phillips is the reason every celebrity looks sculpted yet natural, and this palette bottles her technique. It has creamy contour, highlight, and everything in between, that blend invisibly into skin. The formula melts in, so you can create dimension without harsh lines, this is an all in one wonder for contouring and sculpting. I bought it as soon as it hit the Sephora website. The effect is skin that looks lit from within but perfectly structured.

This week’s edit is about products that really deliver, perform and in general, make me happy.

What product has been changing your routine lately?
